About Nehemiah

Nehemiah Project exists to meet the needs of those in our community who suffer, and are hurting, by coming alongside them to love, support, mentor, and to give hope and a sense of purpose. The project started in the hearts of individuals who have a passion to see true change for those who are often forgotten within their communities. Through scripture, God highlighted the book of Nehemiah to our hearts as an example of how to rebuild our cities. In the book of Nehemiah, we find the story of God’s people who after 70 years of exile returned home to find their city in ruins. Its walls and towers were broken and the gates of the city were destroyed. Nehemiah and the Jews returned to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. The once-great capital of the Promise Land was a depressing rubble heap exposed to her enemies.

But now I said to them, “You know very well the trouble we are in. Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire. Let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem.” Then I told them about how gracious the hand of God had been on me, and about my conversation with the king. They replied at once, ” Yes, let’s rebuild the wall!” So they began the good work.

About Nehemiah Project of Love

Our goal, through Nehemiah, is to establish resources and support within our cities, for the homeless, veterans, senior citizens, at-risk kids/abused women, those who struggle with addiction and mental health issues as well as people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition to offering resources and support, Nehemiah is partnering with many local organizations, who assist in these areas, through financial support.

Plans are in the making to offer classes that will educate and equip people. Some of the classes we offer are budgeting, resume writing, job and interview skills, and entrepreneurship. We will also offer sessions and classes specific to the areas we serve such as addiction education and awareness, personal testimonies, I/DD internships, and personal development.

We are so excited to see the opportunities God has in store for the people He loves. We truly believe change happens when we love people well!
