"In partnership with the EE Waddell Center, Albemarle Parks & Recreation, and 24 we were able to hold our first quarterly basketball/gaming event at the EE Waddell Center. We were excited to have 19 kids participate!

Some of the activities the day held were basketball drills, team-building skills, gaming stations, decorating Christmas ornaments, giant connect four, cornhole, photos with Santa, face painting, free pizza, goodies from a food truck, and more! Biggie the 'Squatch, from 4 Rivers, even made an appearance!

We want to say a BIG thank you to our community, and all of those involved, for supporting our youth with such an awesome event, for all of the encouragement given, and for the fun! Thank you to those who helped with the cost of pizza, to Little Ceaser's of Albemarle for the discounted pricing, and thank you to the families who participated! You blessed us with your children's smiles!

We can't wait to see you at our next event in March where we will have even more volunteer opportunities and fun for all, so stay tuned!"
